Vincent Albouy is a former professional skier who transitioned into the tech world. As a ski athlete, he competed across Europe and earned the title of French University Champion. His career took a significant turn at the age of 18 when he moved to San Francisco and started working as a software engineer at IBM. Early in his career, Vincent was involved in projects related to artificial intelligence, sparking his passion for the field. He authored several influential papers in AI, making substantial contributions to its development. His expertise in AI was later applied to drug discovery at VanTai, prior to its acquisition by ROIVANT Science.
Vincent co-founded TeamOut with Thomas, inspired by the challenges faced by newly established remote companies. TeamOut aims to assist remote companies in organizing offsites and retreats to foster unity among coworkers. Starting with a basic website launched in just two days in February 2021, TeamOut has evolved into a multimillion-dollar operation, serving hundreds of customers and attracting investors such as Y Combinator. Today, it is regarded as the most technologically advanced platform in its field.
