Elk Extravaganza Tour
Experience the amazing phenomenon of “The Rut” as you reach all the amazing locations to photograph and view the elk in their mating ritual. Probably the most exciting time of the year, expert guides will get you up close and personal to witness the sparring and bugling of the elk. While elk can be extremely dangerous and aggressive, the guides will teach you how to view them from a safe distance. This is a must if you are visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. Use of the trail system does not require an activity pass. Please check the current trail status (at the top of the website) prior to accessing the trail system. The Parkway Trail is currently available as an all-weather trail when the system is closed.
